I am currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the National Autonomous University of Mexico’s School of Sciences (Facultad de Ciencias), and the former chairperson for the Bachelor Degree in Actuarial Science of this school. I have also been President of Academic Affairs in Colegio Nacional de Actuarios (the main association of actuaries in Mexico), and I am currently a member of the Board of Directors of this association.
I have been a faculty member at the University since 2001. My specialization is in Statistics and my current academic interests are mainly in the fields of Survival Analysis and Statistical Inference.
I teach courses in the actuarial and mathematics programs at the undergraduate level.
